How your discovery flight works
From the moment you arrive to the moment you land, your instructor is with you and explains everything.
Meet your instructor
Start on the ground with a short briefing. You’ll learn how the controls work and what you’ll do in the air.
Preflight the airplane
Walk around the airplane with your instructor and check it over the same way real pilots do before every flight.
Fly it yourself
Take the controls over Sparta and the surrounding area. Afterward, we’ll talk through what it takes to earn your license.

Do I need any experience?
None at all. Your instructor walks you through everything on the ground first, and you fly the airplane with the instructor beside you the whole time.
Does it count toward my pilot certificate?
Yes. It’s a real training flight with a certified flight instructor, and the time can be logged toward your certificate.
What should I wear and bring?
Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunglasses, and a photo ID. Bring your phone or camera for pictures.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If the weather isn’t suitable, we’ll reschedule your flight at no charge.
Can I buy one as a gift?
